I have been teaching art since 2002, and have been an artist my whole life. I believe art education is an essential part of a well rounded education, teaching children how to see and interpret the world in new and different ways. Art education also encourages deeper level thinking skills to solve visual problems using a wide variety of solutions, which builds the confidence to take risks. And besides all of that good stuff, art is FUN!
